Privacy Policy

A. Your content and account data
When you use PrepHelp we process account details (such as email and profile fields you provide), files you upload, usage signals needed to run the product, and content you generate in AI chat. Payments may be processed by Razorpay; we do not store your full card or UPI credentials.
Private uploads are used to deliver features to you (for example, answering questions about a PDF you opened). They are not used for global AI improvement unless you separately opt in (see below).
Public or shared library material may be shown to other users, indexed for search inside the product, and used in aggregated or anonymized form to improve ranking, safety, and recommendations — consistent with how a public library works.
B. AI features and optional training
Some features send portions of your content to model providers to generate responses. We work to minimize what is sent and to follow vendor terms.
Optional opt-in: If you explicitly enable “help improve PrepHelp AI” in settings or onboarding, you agree that eligible content you upload may be used to improve our AI systems, including in aggregated or de-identified form where applicable. This choice is off by default and can be changed in settings.
We may use anonymized and aggregated usage telemetry to understand product health — not to sell identifiable classroom content as advertising profiles.
C. Retention and security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. Retention windows depend on the feature (for example, chat history controls available in settings). If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data subject to lawful retention needs.
